MCC offers a variety of business degrees that prepare you for jobs in business management, accounting, human resources, advertising, public relations, marketing, sales and more.


All of these areas provide the foundation to transfer for a bachelor’s degree, and we have agreements with other institutions to help.

Accounting, A.A.S.

This program leads to an associate of applied science degree with an emphasis in accounting and provides the background and skills necessary for an entry-level job in the accounting field. Students will be prepared for jobs with duties assigned to a beginning accountant, such as verifying additions; checking audits, postings, and vouchers; analyzing accounts; and preparing financial statements. 

Associate of Applied Science & Arts

The Associate of Science and Arts is designed for students planning to earn an associate degree at MCC and then transfer to a four-year college or university. This degree meets General Education requirements and offers room for customization to the student’s intended major. 

Business Entrepreneurship, A.A.S.This program leads to an associate of applied science degree with an emphasis in new business development and provides the skills necessary for an entry-level job in the field of small business management. Students will be prepared to start their own business, collaborate with others on a business or act as a consultant.

Business Management (A.A.S., Certificate and Job Training Program)This associate degree program offers an emphasis in management and provides the skills necessary for an entry-level job in the fields of business management and supervision. The certificate program is designed to prepare students for numerous business fields and the applied coursework prepares them for intermediate positions in different companies and industries. The job training program is designed to help students learn the basic concepts needed for supervisory and management positions. Students learn concepts of basic accounting, customer relations, computers, management, legal issues in business and economics.

Business Marketing, A.A.S.This program leads to an associate of applied science degree with an emphasis in marketing and provides the skills necessary for an entry-level job in the field of business marketing. Students learn concepts of basic accounting, customer relations, computers, management, legal issues in business and economics.

Medical Office Administration, A.A.S.

This program prepares students who wish to specialize in medical transcription and medical office procedures for employment or advancement. Students will be qualified for entry-level career opportunities such as medical secretary or administrative assistant.

MiTransfer Pathway Business Associate of Science

The MiTransfer Pathway Business Associate of Science program is intended to set students up to transfer for a bachelor’s degree to a participating college or university through the MiTransfer Pathways Project agreement. 

Office Administration, A.A.S.

This program provides knowledge of general business, accounting and communication, as well as the use of computer productivity tools. Students will be prepared for entry-level career opportunities such as office administrator and database administrator. 

Office Applications Job Training Program

This job training program is designed for Microsoft Office users who wish to upgrade or update their Microsoft Office Suite skills.
